SCHOOL READINESS GOAL: Children and families will practice healthy and safe habits.

Please choose one activity below, circle which one you completed, and sign when completed. Menus should be sent back when students return to school.

WASH, WASH, WASH: Wash your hands and your infant’s hands together. Describe each step: water, soap, rub, rinse, and dry. Sing a short handwashing song while you practice.

HEALTHY FOOD TALK: During feeding time, name the infant-safe foods your child is eating. Describe the color, smell, and texture. Follow your child’s feeding plan and watch for hunger or fullness cues.

WARM AND COZY CHECK: Before going outside, talk through getting dressed for the weather. Name each safe clothing item as you put it on: socks, coat, or hat. Check that your infant is comfortable.

SAFE SPACE SEARCH: Carry you infant around one room and point out safe choices, such as covered outlets and toys off the floor path. Move one unsafe item together while explaining, "We keep you safe."

In addition to completing one of the above activities, please read together each NTI day.
