SCHOOL READINESS GOAL: Children will demonstrate flexibility, inventiveness, curiosity, motivation, persistence, and engagement in learning.

Please choose one activity below, circle which one you completed, and sign when completed. Menus should be sent back when students return to school.

WHAT IS INSIDE: Place two or three infant-safe objects in a bowl. Let your infant reach in, remove and object, and explore it. Name what they discovered and refill the bowl. 

FIND THE JOY: Partly hide a favorite toy under a small cloth while you infant watches. Ask "Where did it go?" Encourage looking, reaching, or pulling the cloth away. Celebrate the discovery.

SOUND SEARCH: Gently shake a rattle on one side of your infant, then the other. Pause and let them turn, look, or reach toward the sound. Offer the rattle for supervised exploration.

TRY ANOTHER WAY: Put a desired toy slightly out of reach. Allow time for your infant to stretch, scoot, roll, point, or vocalize. Offer help after they try and say, “You kept trying!”
