SCHOOL READINESS GOAL: Children will be able to verbally/non-verbally express their wants and needs.

Please choose one activity below, circle which one you completed, and sign when completed. Menus should be sent back when students return to school.

CHOOSE ONE: Hold up two familiar toys. Name each one and ask, "Which one do you want?" Wait for your infant to look, reach, point, or vocalize, then give the chosen toy.

MORE OR ALL DONE: During feeding or play, model the words and simple signs for "more" and "all done." Pause and respond to your infant's gaze, gesture, movement, sign, or sound.

TELL ME: Place a favorite item where your infant can see it. Ask, "So you want it?" Wait quietly. Respond warmly when your infant reaches, points, looks, or makes a sound.

IMITATE MY SOUND: Face you infant and make one simple sound, such as "ma," "ba," or "oo." Pause for a response. Copy any sound your infant makes and take turns.

In addition to completing one of the above activities, please read together each NTI day.
