SCHOOL READINESS GOAL: Children will develop and demonstrate the ability to recognize the emotions of others and how to respond positively.

Please choose one activity below, circle which one you completed, and sign when completed. Menus should be sent back when students return to school.

EMOTION MATCHING GAME: Look at pictures of people showing different facial expressions. Ask your child to name the emotion and explain why they think a person feels that way.

KINDNESS CHALLENGE: Encourage your child to complete one act of challenge with a family member. Examples: give a hug, share a toy, help clean up, say something nice.

MYSTERY BAG: Place several items from around the home in a bag (examples: toy, car, hairbrush, spoon). Let your child feel the object without looking guess what it is using clues.

PICTURE TALK: Look at family photos or magazine pictures. Ask your child questions such as "what do you see?," "what are they doing?," "how do you think they feel?"

In addition to completing one of the above activities, please read together each NTI day.
