Kentucky American Water’s H2O Help to Others Program ™ is teaming up with Community Action Council to deliver up to $250 in water and wastewater assistance to eligible Kentucky American Water customers.
Eligible customers can receive assistance once per calendar year until funds have been exhausted. Assistance for past-due water and wastewater bills will be paid directly to Kentucky American Water.
Available in Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Jackson, Jessamine, Nicholas, Owen, Rockcastle, Scott, and Woodford counties.
To be eligible for this program, a household must:
- Be a Kentucky American Water customer
- Have income up to 225% of the federal poverty guidelines
- Have an outstanding balance of at least $50 and have contributed at least $25 in the last 180 days
- Ensure the adult applying for assistance is listed on their household’s Kentucky American Water account
Required documentation:
- Proof of income for the previous month for all adults in the home
- Identification and Social Security cards for all household members
- Kentucky American Water bill or disconnect notice
