The Fall Sneaker Ball isn’t your typical black-tie affair. Guests are invited to pair their favorite sneakers with formal attire as a symbol of their commitment to doing the hard work on the street that builds a brighter future for everyone. Attendees from all walks of life come together to enjoy an evening of live music, captivating performances, and inspiring speakers that will have guests immersed in an unforgettable evening, all while supporting the vital work of the Community Action Council.
The crowning moment of the event will be when the 2024 Unapologetic Woman of the Year is honored. Our Unapologetically Woman series highlights the incredible women who are making a difference in our community through their leadership and work to uplift others. This web series, available on both our website and on our YouTube page, shares the stories and impact of prominent women to inspire others to take up space and engage in their own economic development and leadership potential.
For 60 years, Community Action Council has been at the forefront of driving positive economic change and fostering inclusivity for people with low income. From educational initiatives to economic empowerment programs, from providing housing to emergency services, and from helping people to build lives they can be proud of to working towards creating a more equitable society, Community Action Council has become a central Kentucky institution and a beacon of hope, guiding individuals towards a brighter future.
This year, we’re celebrating our 60th anniversary of boots-on-the-ground anti-poverty work with the Community Action Council’s Fall Sneaker Ball, and we invite you to become a part of one of the most exciting nights of the year.
